QUOTE ("Steve Vai")
Start by playing something - a bend, a riff, a scale, a song - very slowly; if you make a mistake, start over; do this over and over, until you can play it flawlessly - and I do mean flawlessly - many times in a row. Next, gradually increase the tempo. Eventually you'll be flailing like a madman.

Good work, but I changed some things like the fact that you wrote that he didn't let the others contribute untill ghost reveries, and that Mikael was an original member, he is not. There are still quite many factual wrongs here, but great effort and I'll try to change them if I find the time.

Thanks for correcting me, I've taken the dates and facts from an Issue of the german Metal Hammer magazine and there it said that Akerfeldt was a founding member and a selfish composer...

Yeah np. I didn't mean to sound arrogant, but I see that I did when I read my post again. I still think it's a great article, and those small factual mistakes doesn't matter to people who aren't super obsessed with them, but I still had the urge to change a bit.
