Hi all

My Name is Peter from Nottingham in the UK

I have been learning to play for just over 2 years now, am self teaching through resources such as this - loving it.
I need a real life tutor but having difficulty finding one.

I play a Variax Guitar through a Pod XT Live and a Crate Keyboard amp.

Love the Freelicks site and really miss the old forum.

Wow, this is evidence that these forums werent very lively just a year ago...... my how things have changed apparently.

I have to say that I'm really happy with how much this community acts like just that....a community. We're all like refugee guitarists fleeing the clutches of overpriced real world lessons and bad guitar websites, just looking for a sanctuary to play and learn without being sold anything. And what we found......what we found was paradise laugh.gif

So cheers to you Kristopher Dahl. Cheers to you and your six string garden of eden.

laugh.gif laugh.gif Thanks Spiderusalem - that's quite a summary!!

Remember you are being sold a lifestyle of constant learning and improvement - but that's probably what you wanted! biggrin.gif

Also - bumping this thread makes me feel a little nostalgic...! smile.gif

Other guitar sites have advertisements for things like acne cream. thats what I meant. Plus, this site costs less per month than riding the bus everyday.

Yes I see what you mean - I am very happy that we can manage our expenses without having to serve ads. I wouldn't want to watch acne ads all day long either! biggrin.gif
