Ok, I just bought an RC-2 Loop pedal.

Problem is that I don't really know how connect it properly.
When I play a riff into it, it'll play it back fine. No problem.

The problem however, is that it's Mono. It sounds really, really shitty when I play a solo over the chords when it's not panned.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Well I don't think you need stereo for jamming...I don't think that pedal has such function..And your guitar is mono too..Do you have a stereo amp ??

I found out what to do.

I need to do a signal split.

amp->loop->input A
->input B

Yeah,it's mono unit but splitting might solve the problem.
I used it few times but I had no reason for stereo indeed.
It all comes into same input of amp so that's the way it is. wink.gif

Well I don't think panning makes it sound bad..It really doesn't matter when you are playing with loops on one amp...Can you record it (when it sounds bad to you) ?? I can't imagine why it sound bad..

you need 2 Amps to make a stereo signal from A out put and B out put and you will get a good result

It sounds good, but when I play along with it, it becomes shit.

Obviously because it's Mono, and not stereo.

Not sure what to do about it, I just bought the damn thing sad.gif

If you are only using one amp there is absolutly No difference between mono and stereo. So your problem might be something else?

It sounds fine on my side.
Perhaps you need to set your gear setup
to get better result.
Be sure to send dry/only guitar signal into RC-2
and then into pedals and amp.

It sounds very strange actually. I used the RC-2 for more than a year now, and I never had "bad" sound problems. I think you should remember, that though it might not sound high quality, its still just a pedal for practicing on your own. smile.gif

Well, I should get chords in left, and solo in right ear- but unfortunately it's not built that way.

I simply play, example, an Emaj7 - and do a solo over it.

kjutte, please explain in what kind of effects configuration you are using the RC loop. How do you connect it currently wit your gear. I'm sure there is the problem.

-10.

But I tried +4, and I also tried it directly from guitar. (but then it'll loop in distortion even if I record in clean, obviously, so no go.)
