Can Anyone Tell Me How To Record The Guitar Sound,please!

I have a Line 6 Pod X3, I know it could record the guitar sound, but I don't know how to use, in order to ues Line 6 Pod X3 to record the guitar sound, it need a software right?? Reaper in my opinion is better. You can download the trial version for free. Once you get it downloaded, you'll probably have questions so don't hesitate to ask. That software is called DAW (digital Audio WOrkstation) and it serves for many purposes among mulittrack recording and playback, mostly mixing, adding effects, MIDI sequencing etc. Reaper is a free one that is ideal for starters.
