Soon hopefully i shall be posting my first SI lesson. I came up with this riff to be the basis for the backing, but when i played it i vagly recognised it. I don't want to copy another riff even if i thought i made it up myself. So if anyone knows what riff this is, or if it is an already used riff at all, then it would be very useful for me to know. smile.gif If it is similar to another riff then could you tell me what and i might make my lesson an "in the style of" lesson instead, but using this riff.

Thanks

well, I'm not sure... but it sounds like a Nirvana riff.
But what does it matter, you can use it and even create completely different sounds! So I would say: "Use it"!

Well, there´s probably many thousand songs with that chord progression so it could remind you of a lot of stuff...

No harm at all using it. There is always something that sounds like something. Very hard to be truly unique looking only at one instrument.. But when all put together and different voices, lyrics and such.. It stands out more smile.gif
