Does anyone know how to delete portions of a guitar track? I recorded a guitar track in one take but would like to delete a few portions of the track but can't figure out how. I use to use Cubase and you can just highlight the portion and delete it but Reaper doesn't seem to allow you to do the same thing. Any help????

Are there any tutorials or docs besides the pdf in the help menu?

thanks,,, biggrin.gif

Hi Jp,

Click on the track you want to edit, it will turn green. Then click anywhere in the timeline, (blue area), holding mouse button down drag to highlight the portion you want to cut. Once you have that area highlighted, right click on the track, scroll down to you see "cut selected area of selected items". Once you have cut that area, click back in the timline (blue area) and close the highlight.

You also use your right click for copying, pasting. properties ect....
Hope this helps you out. smile.gif

Another option is to add an editor into Reapers Options->Preferences->External editor.

I'm using one from and it's small, easy to use and does it's job.
