I dont usually make requests. I like to play what comes up, I dont have a great interest in many of the artists that come up but when I try to play the licks and riffs I find that I get to enjoy and appreciate them even more, whilst I might not be Slashes greatest fan, I do love to play his licks and he is truly a great guitarist.
If I only played what I liked, I would probably not experience any of the other styles of guitarists I have in some cases not heard of or not heard much music from them, so I do appreciate the diversity of this site - it does give lots of different stuff to try out and learn from. That said, I notice that many people who come here list Pink Floyd as one of their favourite bands and yet no one seems to have requested any Pink Floyd stuff. For me, David Gilmour in particular and Pink Floyd in general is my ultimate goal to sound like. I would love to be able to get inside "Gilmours style" - I have and still do try, but a lot of his stuff is just out of my reach but I am getting there. So my request is "in the style of...David Gilmour". (by the way the "free" lick, comfortably numb is awsome and I can play that pretty much as per the recording. -------------------- its not easy

A David Gilmour lesson would be interesting. I've always found it cool that he mainly uses minor pentatonic, yet manages to make it sound fresh and interesting.
