I'm more envious on him having that guitar actually.

Tell me about it.

I've just been watching some videos of a 13/14 year old kid who not only plays guitar impressivley, but sings really well too and all the covers he's done are done by ear (including transposing multiple guitar tracks onto a single guitar).

I mean how the hell does such a thing happen.

I know it should be inspiring but it really makes me feel worthless sometimes dry.gif

You guys shouldn't be discouraged when other people, especially young once, plays guitar better than you. Whatever happened to just playing music. Who cares if the kid can string skip, it doesn't make him any better than any of you just because he can do stuff on a piece of wood.

Ok well maybe i should clarify.

It doesn't stop me from playing, or keep me from enjoying it. But like anything in life there are people who are able to pick things up much easier than others. So when i see an awesome guitarist i get inspired but when it's just a little kid who is a bit of a wizard it does sorta make you thing "man, that just isn't fair!".

This isn't to put down the kid in question, in fact all the best to them. But when you sit down to practice whatever technique has been kicking your teeth in for months sometimes a bit of envy does creep in. It's at those times when inspiration tends to leave me.

Truth is, after seeing some of the youtube wizards it does set a fire in me to practice harder, because here at GMC i've come to believe that with a bit of blood, sweat and time, i can reach any goal i set. LUckily being older and bigger than these kids means i can lose more blood and sweat than them. I'll get there eventually!

Actually i think that when your young you learn really fast, so thoose we practice seriusly at an early age would quite possibly advance quite fast, takes alittle bit of talent and dediation too offcourse smile.gif

I can't figure if they are really serious about being impressed, or just being sarcastic. hard to tell. I know they both suck, the cello and the 11 year old. even at 11, you should have a concept of what music is, and what annoying noise is.
