I'm not in the market for a new guitar but I like to wander around and check stuff out when I'm in Guitar Center. Especially the synthesizer corner (I love nasty sounds from keyboards too). I was at my local GC yesterday and came across an interesting guitar.

I can't find the exact same guitar on the net so far, but this one's close...

The one that I looked at had more of a sunburst finish instead of the solid black, but otherwise, it's close. It's an American Tele with 3 pickups and a gadget called a B-Bender.

The B-Bender attaches to the neck strap pin so when you push down on the neck, it bends the B string up a half-step. Very strange (just the B string??) but kinda neat. Seems like it's really a country music thing but I think I could have some fun playing around with it.

It feels really weird under the fingers. It's different than a whammy bar. it's like it pulls the string backards towards the bridge from behind it. So if you're fretting the string it pulls up the neck a little bit.

I might have to go back and play around with it a little. I wasn't willing to spend much time there as there were a couple kids blasting through some of the Line6 gear next to it. And it didn't have a strap on it which seems an odd way to demo it.
