I decided to practice sweeping a little more because I basically just knew what it was and couldn't do it very well. So I tried this lesson and it works great for me! My advice is to try this: Start with upstroke, downstroke, use alternate picking(ok, I know it is a sweep lessons, but nevertheless), also try, different patterns, even with sweep picking, there are some options here, try to cover every possible situation in which you could be while playing. Guitar is positional instrument, so in order to be able to express freely one must be able to find appropriate position in a second. Sometimes you are in 12th position, 7th, whatever, and you must be able to adjust your fingering to play desired arpeggios. Sometimes you play fast, for example, so you need an upstroke to begin sequence you want, and you cannot always control which stroke will be first. Sometimes it will be impossible to play with alternate picking, sometimes with sweep. Keep your mind open! You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick.
