Id thought I'd answer this, even though its for Muris but I think I know the answer.

It all depends on what type of notes they are.

If you have a set of sixteenth notes with that 3 sign over them then that means they are equal to one quater note. The way you would count it would be One-Trip-Let-And-Trip-let. So you would play them in the time of a quater note.

If it is over a set of eighth notes then you play it in the space of 2 eighth notes. You may find it easier to think of the eighth note triplet as being 3 notes dividing a quarter note (since 1 quarter note = 2 eighth notes).

I'm posotive thats correct. Hope you understand smile.gif

Sorry to be answering this, but I'm pretty sure it means triplets - more precisely a quarter note triplet and an eight note triplet.

Actually I dont think you can get quater note triplets. The one's im explaining are the eighth note triplets , and the sixteenth note triplets (sextuplets)

The eighth note is just a quaver with one quill, sixteenth note with two. Im just using the american term

Just looked at it again, in the video, I'm pretty sure that's a quarter note triplet then a eight note triplet. Says so in the GP file too.

You can definately have quarter note triplets. Like here: http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/3687/tripletsmd1.png

Yeah, sure man, good explanation. "Triplets is three notes of any length played in the time of two notes of the same length" - three notes in two notes time smile.gif
