I could really use some help with rolls on guitar, I just can't nail the technique, specifically rolls witch use the pick, middle and ring finger. A Rolls Exercise lesson would be very helpful, and I don't think there is a lesson on rolls ala Zakk Wylde and John5. I personally would love a lesson on this, anyone else with me?

So just throwing it out there for any instructors are having a hard time coming up with new lessons, just want to let you know I would love a Banjo Rolls lesson, or even a country licks lesson with some banjo rolls in it would help.

Thanks for looking.

I am very good in eating spring rolls smile.gif I guess he talks about a kind of chicken picking, using the pick and 2 or more fingers to play those figures (rolls)

Yep,that would be chicken picking
or hybrid to be more precise. smile.gif

There are few lessons at GMC containing
these techniques, maybe not in this banjo style
but you'll get the idea. smile.gif

I can empathize RIP Dime, I have a hard time with banjo rolls, too.

/more country lessons would be awesome.
//If there were an instructor here that was prolific about posting country stuff as Lian Gerbino is with metal, I'd pay double what I do now.

Oh yea, I love me some spring rolls, but a lesson on it would be unnecessary. laugh.gif
Yea, it's chicken picking basically, it's an uncommon way to play arpeggios, but it sounds very unique.

John5, Clean fingerstyle

Brent Hinds, Clean Chicken Picking he starts doing rolls around 1:00.

Zakk Wylde does them all over the place, and he also does some minimal explaining of it in this video. You should probably be able to catch it in the first crazy solo though.
