i am fascinated by the prs tremonti models and really thinking of getting one.
there are two problems:
1. i have no possibility to test it before buying cause there is no dealer selling them somewhere near
2. the guitar is very expensive (2890 EUR = 4500 USD)
so, i dont want to buy a guitar that is soo expensive and find out that it is not worth the money afterwards.

does anyone of you play this guitar or has anyone tested it?

PRS Tremonti black
prs tremonti red

thanx and keep on rocking! cool.gif

Hay man!
I really dig tremonti's playing alot!
I don't have one but some of my students here in S.A have them and like them alot.
I use the Mark tremonti morley wah and that's awesome!
If the guitar is anything like the wah pedal I'd say yeah!
But try it out see if you comfortable with the guitar!

No doubt there, I tried couple of PRS models
and they are indeed powerful guitars.
I was just saying about somebody else's name on your guitar, that's all. smile.gif

Just be sure to try it first as Ian said above,
to see if it fits your needs 100%. smile.gif

actually it doesn´t have to be the tremonti model - i would like to have a prs.
there are some cheaper models that copy the prs guitars but i have no idea if they are good...

rthe prs tremonti i have seen in some videos where they tested it and it seems it is really great!

Each test you see or hear doesn't mean a thing
until you try it by yourself, that's the way of music, fully individual. smile.gif

For that price, I'd test drive it for quite awhile to see if you're comfortable with it(no way I'd trust someone elses opinion without trying it myself). If that's the type of guitar you want, you might be much happier with a Les paul...you would have some extra cash for pickups or whatever, that's for sure.

Maybe order a custom from Suhr or Anderson...or whatever brand. If I had that much to spend on my next guitar, I'd go custom. Get exactly what you want.

I agree, that's a lot to pay to have someone else's name on it... but I'd still take one wink.gif

Sweet!

PRS make awesome guitars, I've played a couple of the USA models and they are top notch, definitely worth it if you've got the money. But I'm pretty sure you can return it if it wasn't what you expected.

thany for your comments so far............

i really should find a way to try it before buying - if i buy a guitar at that price, then there will be a very long time without buying new stuff.....

maybe i should opt for a cheaper guitar but i want a really good reliable one definitly without floyd rose tremolo cause i am sick of the string changing process and as i dont play that much metal anymore i can live without a floating trem..

i thought custom shop guitars are even more expensive...

do you know good custom shop guitars that are affordable?

keep on rocking! cool.gif

I know my local guitartech builds them for about 2000 euros. Haven't had the chance to play one though.

About the guitar, you should definately try it out before you buy it.

Thump up for a suhr or a tom anderson, too expensive for a non-custom made guitar, I suppose you more for the name then the quality
