Hi all,

I finally managed to do a recording with my new toneport and focussed on some leadline i was developing on top of a simple cord progression. I basically came up with that during jamming and enlarged on the main ideas later on.

So please listen to the result here.

I would be very interested in your feedback and advice.
Please let me hear your ideas and express what you did and what you did not like about basically everything.
Sound, melody, rythm, techniques you can hear ....

Based on your feedback I will try to work on my weaknesses and hopefully present you a new better recording in future.

Thanks in advance for support!!!

Nice take man! Although I think you should try to ad some more feel to it. What I mean with that is for instance some vibrato here and there, maybe some slides and some really agressive bends and other techniques to make it sound more interesting. I'm not saying you have to try to incorporate all of these but some of them wouldn't hurt.

Otherwise nice playing and I really like the phrasing in the beginning wink.gif

The take is very good, you have a sense for rhythm, just need to practice more to really make those notes clear and well defined. Some phrasing with be nice to, adding some bends, and vibratos.

Thank you so much for your kind reply und suggestions. You`re right maybe I was too concentrated to get things right that I forgot about the feeling. I will try to include more expression using the suggested techniques in my next take.

I will focus to work on these techniques using these two lessons:

By the way, does anyone know how to build in synth cords into the abe lite recording program? I have written a cord progression in guitar pro but when I try to load the midi file into live lite 7 its very noisy and not realy usable.

Cheers

Sounds pretty good mate, work on expression (vibrato , bends etc) should definitly do the trick...Also try developing line even more to make more interesting phrasing...
Not always you can use midi from guitar pro..Maybe you need to make a separate midi track in the recording software and "write down" the chords there..Possibly, you will need a VST (virtual instrument) to play that synth sounds..I'm not familiar with that recording software you mentioned but I can always suggest Reaper and Cubase smile.gif

yeah,

i just downloaded a free midi-to-wav converter and then put the resulting wav file into the recording program. That worked pretty well with decent sound.
Ok, let me work on the next take You`ll definetly here it soon.

I also suggest you add some phrasing with bends, slides and vibrato, it will make it sound much more alive and personal. But aside from this, well done.
