I was browsing the Vox Humana site today (Basically the dutch warmoth) and discovered that they have some B stock guitars.

A B stock guitar is a guitar that has been slightly damaged in the factory and can't normally be sold. However the guys from the site have patched these guitars up and offer them for sale for a lot less money than they come normally.

Do these seem a good deal?

Many had cracked headstocks and does this lower playability? Or does it make these guitars more prone to malfunctioning?

I might consider getting one of these. But I have to know if they are any good.

Well if they say that they have patched them up I don't see a reason why you shouldn't buy one. If the headstock is slightly cracked I don't think that it would harm the playability that much, but only if it's a slight crack.

Can you send them an email and ask in which condition are these guitars in? smile.gif

Seemed like there were a few good deals there, as long as it's just small cracks smile.gif

One of my Les Paul Customs once suffered a littel accident and the headstock broke, but it was fixed and I am still using this guitar. As long as such damages are fixed porperly there is no problem.

If the crack is not on a key place that can affect the playabillity of the guitar, or cause any firther damage, I think this is and OK deal.

This can be a good deal , but you need to know and request pictures of the damage and than make a decision on a particular guitar (damage)

well IMO b-stock means that the product has only "cosmetic" damage, like the finish is damaged anywhere but the playability / function is 100%. Thats the way we have it in germany though.

It should be fine, but make sure that you stay well away from guitars with neck damage. Even the tiniest of cracks can greatly weaken the neck.
