I`m using the Samson Concert 77 after buying it for half a year ago. I`ve seen some complaints about the battery, and first I thought too it sucked. But then I discovered that I`ve forgot to turn of the transmitter(the part plugged in the guitar) while not using it...so I can`t really tell if it eats batteries or not.

To my real point!!

If you have a fresh battery the concert 77 works like a dream. I used it with my bass and several pedals for a gig which lasted at least an hour, and I had great signal all time. Even when I ran of stage and around in the room biggrin.gif . I did not discover any devastating delay before the signal was going over 30 meters through two concrete walls.
In Norway, the price for mine is approximately 500$ (though I got it for 200$:).

So my conclusion has to be that Samson definitely not any shitty brand, at least not if you put some money in it smile.gif
A good tip when playing live: Always have a backup battery and a jack(if the entire system goes to h***smile.gif

Does the plug sit good inside the input jack or has it ever fallen out? What about that battery cover. Any chance it could fall of?

I've never had a problem. The bug comes with two length 1/4" plugs. One for Strat type plugs the other for Les Paul type. Bat. cover snaps on great and it even comes with two. One is colored via frequency the other is just all black. The bug (transmitter is so small it's great) never in your way and very easy to change guitars without needing multiple transmitters. Others in my area use this AKG combination and I've never heard anyone having any troubles.
