After that I could dial in anything I wanted cause I know how the components will behave. I suggest you spend some time with the unit, and tweak the presets as much as you can. You will find some good ones as time passes by. Also, a bit recording practice will not harm you as well. Dec 25 2008, 08:36 PM	GMC:er Posts: 1.202 Joined: 23-September 08 From: Istanbul	As I have used POD 2.0 for about 3 years both on stage and in studio, I think I am able to review this amazing kidney shaped red box. POD 2.0 is really worth your money, especially at entry and intermediate levels. Amp simulation is very well performed, and cabin simulation is worth trying. %60 of times, I even didnt had to connect it to a amp on stage, just some little eq adjustement and you are good to go. When you connect it to a amp I seriously recommend it to be connected to the effect return of amp or power amp in if its applicable. You just have to turn off the amp simulation. It needs to be remembered that the real power and flexiblity of POD comes with a MIDI connection to a computer, as thru Line Edit software you can adjust a lot deeper controls than you could with the built-in pannel on the top, and I think this seriously reduces effect trimming precision flaws. And also you can reach a lot amp models easier than you can normally. This is a really important functionnality improvement. You can also use it next to your analog pedals, even better they can be connected before your POD, and then you can connect your POD to your computer or to your mixer thus, removing the need of amp-cab-mic trio. The real flaw I see in this product is the lack of a built in foot controller, thus requiring you to buy the line6 foot switches or a midi controller pedal. But versus this flaw they released the FLOOR POD, virtually the same product but with built-in foot switch. I sold this only after buying PODxtPro for my rack system. But I was happy until then.
