I was currently looking at Walli's wholetone lesson, and I thought "How does one fit this in somewhere?"

Well, this isn't too easily grasped, as there's no chordprogression to look at.
I would really appreciate that all lessons from now will have a chordprogression list unless the backing is really long, but I doubt it is, because then the lesson would be about the riff, not the solo.

Hope this is doable!

I agree - I think this is important as well. I always look for the chords when learning from scale lessons!

If it's a licks or exercise lesson that wouldn't be necessary but for some busy chord changes I agree that the chords should be included.

I think it is always useful for members to know the harmony behind the licks, exercises or solos. They can use it for analyzing.

I've never include the chord progression like a list but in each part I explain what is the harmony doing.
From now on I would try to remeber to add the progression.

I always put chord progression above the tab for each slow video,
hope that fits needs. smile.gif

Great stuff! smile.gif
That would make it easier for those of us who make our own lesson backing tracks for off-line use!
And it makes for good rythm guitar practice as well. laugh.gif

QUOTE ("Steve Vai")
Start by playing something - a bend, a riff, a scale, a song - very slowly; if you make a mistake, start over; do this over and over, until you can play it flawlessly - and I do mean flawlessly - many times in a row. Next, gradually increase the tempo. Eventually you'll be flailing like a madman.
