I talked to you about this before I think, but I became very addicted to slapping and popping, once I got the hang of it, it's just nonstop fun..

Only probably I have is that I have difficulties coming up with intresting slap and pop licks.. all I manage writing is simple octaves(and that's despite I actually managed to learn how to play a not so easy Marcus Miller song =p).
Do you have any suggestions on how to build intresting slapping bass lines? and maybe you got some suggestions for intresting intermidiate-advanced slapping in songs I could learn?

Thanks Bogdan smile.gif

Hey there Iluha! I'm really glad you're having fun with bass ! Yeah slapping and popping can be a lot of fun indeed smile.gif
First of all I suggest learning various slap techniques like playing hammer on-s , left hand slapping , right hand double thumb stuff etc..After you get a nice arsenal it will be easier to make more interesting lines..Its like building riffs on guitar , takes some time to come up with good ones...Octaves will be definitly the most important part of those riffs in a lot of cases.

Regarding famous slap songs, lots of RHCP stuff is cool and interesting (but based on octaves a lot).

Thats a cool song man!! smile.gif Good job!

Left hand slapping is when you hit the fretboard with your left hand to produce a percussive "slap" sound..
I use it a lot in this lesson : https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/misc-less...ap-bass-lesson/

Cheers mate smile.gif
