Has anyone been watching this? I generally watch the auditions period as it is fairly entertaining. After that I lose interest but so far this year it has been golden.

Good audition - This also reminded me of the original by Toni Braxton. Man what an amazing voice she has.

Another good audition

but also - Try watching this and not laughing

I hate it when the people give it their best and then the judges laugh at them. It's funny when the contestants get mad...but I feel bad for them when they just stand their getting their feelings hurt. But c'mon...how can they really think they are good?!

Haha, I often think that... Can they seriously sing to themselves at home and think "Yeah.. I think I'll go national..."

A friend of mines daughter entered this last year (www.lisaandreas.net she represented Cyprus in the 2004 Eurovision song contest) , she was telling me that there is two audition process`s before the ones you see on TV with the producers of the show, they decide who`s going through to the TV show for "entertainment" value alone, so they will always put through bad ones for two reasons, one for entertainment and for us to all wince at how bad they are and secondly to make it look like Simon Cowell and co have sat through thouasands and thousands of auditions when in reality they havnt.
I believe this was the reason that Sharon Osbourne quit the show this year coz she didnt like the exploitation of the more ...errrrmmm...."creative" entries for our amusement laugh.gif

So its understandable that the really bad ones that get through to seeing the panel are in amazement that they are being told they are "rubbish" as to them they`ve got through that far so they must be good!?

I actually cant watch it at the beginning, I usually will watch it when they startth "live" shows with the 12 or so finalists.
