I see the upload section, many people upload their lesson takes with the backing. I use the toneport but I have no idea how to record a take using the backing so I can upload here with some feedback. Can anybody tell me how?

If you ask the instructor nicely, in most cases they will send you the backing. The backings are not available for download. smile.gif

Do you have a camcorder to record yourself? If so, just play through your amp and the backing through the computer speakers. Both your playing and the backing will be recorded on the camcorder and you can upload that video. If you don't have one, you can pick up a 3 year old camcorder that will work perfectly very cheaply on ebay. Cameras drop in value very quickly as newer technology comes out.

I do have a webcam for recording videos, but I want to make a take with the sound quality of the toneport, so It's easier for the instructors and others to analise the uploads smile.gif

Hmmm...do you have quality monitors that you can play the toneport through? If so, the sound quality to a digital camcorder (not a webcam) should transfer over nicely.

There is also a way to get these high quality backings without asking smile.gif You can get them from this website but "almost" ilegally. I am sure many of you know it's possible but I am not sure if I can talk about that here. If you ever want my backing I will be happy to send it.

Or you can learn to make your own backing if you like, using Reaper and plugins.
