hold the bass string down at the 1st fret and where the neck joins the body. see how much spacing you at say the 6th fret or there abouts. It should have a little spacing, but not much more than the width of the thin E string, not very much. Use a capo on the first fret and hold down the fret where it joins the neck, and take a high e string and run between that fret and the bass string to see what the clearance is. I set it a bit lower than that, but you can see a bit of space.

if you adjust your neck, loosen the rod first, and then turn it back to where it was. if you tighten it more than that, and it starts to get much harder to to tighten than it did returning it to the initial position, you had better stop and let a tech look at it.

If you have a neck totally straight, you will get buzz at the frets near the nut. the first 3 or 4.

If there is too much bow, you probably will set your action too low to compensate, and get buzz everywhere.

if you do something dopey and snap your neck, don't blame me (disclaimer)

maybe 1 more litle question it's the check system also work same when u have the bridge on non right position??{like more up or down} becouse if yes my problem is then for sure bridge and stop bar setings

you are welcome. for fret buzz, once you are sure your neck set to almost straight as I mentioned, the bridge is everything from that point on. if you can't adjust that and get it right, something is wrong with the frets. we all get some buzz if we hit the string hard, it is not like an acoustic. strings are looser because lighter, and we all set the action lower. you just don't want buzz when you are picking lightly, which we do in the style of play taught here.

could your restate question? I am having trouble figuring what you are saying.

you are right. it is independent on that test of anything else. that is why it is done first.

if you adjust it, be careful. as I said, loosen if a quarter turn first, and then tighten it back to where you started from. get a feel for the tension. if you tighten it more after that point, it should feel pretty much the same, if it gets stiff, don't force it. the adjustment can max out, and you can't tell by looking, you take it to a tech if you are in doubt.

you were real clear this time.

Did you change the gauge of strings Besip? If you put thicker strings or even a different brand it is possible that action changed a bit, so is the tension. Not all sets of strings have the same tension when pitched to standard tuning.

I change strings on both my guitars and always take them all, the neck should go back. Do you loose sustain when you play? For example, is the buzzing so big that the fret actually prevents the string from ringing and you loose tone? You can check this on your amp.

Some guitars need adjusting , and you may be right about it being the temperature change thing..Though it should not be so radical and often (getting buzzing after restring)..Its good you played around with the neck adjustment, for some guitars its impossible to set it up perfectly (no buzz at all)..Maybe you can play around to see if you can diminish even more the buzz present...Also if you have one around , guitar tech could do the job and diagnostics so you know what your up against in the future...

I was rather thinking in lines of complete diagnostic by the tech why it happens (and maybe a repair)..But if you have learned how to adjust the neck for minimal buzz that's even better, and you don't need to go to tech! Just do it after every restring if its needed...
Cheers mate smile.gif
