Hmm I would maybe go with the toneport ux2 (that's what I use)..Because I don't see a simulations software coming with Tascam...So you will either need to Mic your guitar and bass amp (which isn't very easy in home situation) or buy a amp/cabs simulations software like Guitar Rig 3 or go from some multieffects unite like Pandora/pod etc to tascam...All in all , toneport ux2 comes with a gearbox software (amp/cab simulations) which is pretty good and gets the job done much easier and faster... smile.gif

It is a good choice, and as I see has better specifications.I recorded some vocals trough toneport, and I was very satisfied with preamps.

Also both these interfaces can record maximum 2 channels simultaneosly, so you can't really record bass, guitar and vocals at the same time. Something needs to be recorded first like bass and guitar, and then vocals.

I also recommend Toneport UX2 since it has Gearbox, but to save some money you can even go for the UX1 version. It has the same features as UX2, and can record 2 channels too, but it is more cheap because it doesn't have analog audio metters, digital out etc. The hardware is basically the same stuff.

Glad to help you, and yeah , you may even consider the ux1 option...Its cheaper and basically does the same job..Ux2 is handy if you need to record two mics (with xlrs in stereo) at the same time though. You will definitly need to record one instrument at a time (you can do two if you put an effort in setting it up) smile.gif
