Hey GMC'ers!
I've been looking for a new 7 string guitar for a while now. I've tried both active and passive mic's and found out that I'm not a big fan of the active ones. After a lot of looking have I found a guitar that seems nice. The problem is that it does not exist in Swedish music stores and therefore I could need some help from others who tried it or even owns it.
And also, would that be a good price for that guitar? Or what else could I get for the same money?

Thank you very much!

It's the signature of KoRn guitarist Munkey so you might wanna think about having a signature guitar... Other than that it's pretty much a 7-String Rg Prestige which is always a great guitar. You won't get it cheaper than from Thomann in Europe so that's a good price.

You get a great crafted, easy to play 7string with a case, a great tremolo and good pickups so I would say either buy it or buy a Ibanez 7string prestige rg and equio it with the pickups of you choice which might be cheaper and you'll not have someones signature...

I would also suggest a 7string from Esp or Jackson or Schecter but all their good 7strings are equipped with active emg707 humbuckers (which I think are great). The other thing is: Do you want/need a tremolo on your sevenstring?

+ you can pick them up pretty cheap off ebay. I got min with dimarzios (norton and d-sonic) for 500.00 usd.

I would definitely go for a 7-string Ibanez or Schecter. They are the best 7-strings in my opinion.

Try to ask workers in a shop that you went,do they order guitars from other countries.Iv see the guitar you linked here in Serbia, and I am shore she was ordered from a store. That way you dont haw to worry a bout transportation, the store is responsible .It would cost a few backs more, but you will get it.smile.gif

To tell you the truth, I don't have much experience with seven-strings, but Ibanez practically invented them so they should work.

I spelled my username wrong...I didn't even think that was possible!

Look at the topic for my guitar...

Gear:
Homemade strat (You still need to look at its topic!)
Squier strat (probably going to get rid of it and get another guitar instead) :)
Line 6 spider amp (not actually used for anything, just acts as a speaker)
Digitech Gnx2 (kind of old, but cheap, and sounds amazing!)
