Just browse www.musiciansfriend.com and other sites in the US for a guitar you like. That's the best way I think for you to find what you're looking for.

You should also check out Epiphone guitars, they are the best copies of original Gibsons that you can get and most of their models are within your price range.

If you have stores in your neighborhood, then just go to the store, tryout several guitars and see what you like the best. But be sure to try lots of them in order to develop a feel for the quailty of the built, sound etc. When you find "the one", just tell your old man to get you that one is US.

If your dad is coming to Miami, check out Sam Ash at the Dolphin Mall, I have a brother that works there, he might be able to give you a discount.

im playing half a year
i got the beheringer crappy roceker packet im playing mostly metal love riffing,and slow solos tapping etc about the discount,how?that could be amazing ^^ |

Stay FAR away from deans under $1000 dollars, may i recommend any ibanez or ESP? i have a limited edition japanese Jackson Dinky, its amazing. dont get a floyd rose yet (or ever) its just a pain.
