Ok so I'm very lazy and I never practice any lessons here at GMC I only ever write songs when I pick up a guitar so I decided to practice this lesson as part of the competition that is currently on for the Beginner challenge. This is by no means perfect and I hope to perfect it before I record video live for the competition entrance.
A few points. The guitar pro tab that Carlos gives is different to what he plays and the backing track is longer than what he plays AND the guitar pro file lol so it seems to finish early but I'm positive I do the final run in the correct place. I know my bends are weak which is annoying but here goes. I did my best Any comments off anyone would be awesome Be Gentle OC_Melodic_Solo_in_Gm.mp3 ( 1.57MB ) Number of downloads: 320 This post has been edited by OrganisedConfusion: Oct 5 2008, 08:30 PM -------------------- Gear Guitars:- Caparison Horus Snowcloud, Parker Nitefly M, Parker Nitefly SA, Gibson SG, Parker P10e, 40 Year Old Spanish Acoustic Amps:- Framus Ruby Riot 2x12" stack |

Well I won't analyze the whole playing, but I am also learning it a bit now, and I must say that You already play it good, and will nail it soon:)

Well, I guess that You don't mute other strings as he does ( for me it is magic:/ ) but still I say that You play it good. More self confidence OC;)

Was pretty good my friend Your tone was OK, the only thing, that I would add to your sound was some reverb/delay and maybe a falling rain on the backing
Your playing was almost flawless (only instructors are flawless:P we are here to get better, 'aight?), only thing, I would add was a bit more intense vibrato on some places.. then it would be the best But overally great -------------------- my youtube account with riffs and ideas: https://www.youtube.com/user/Phoenygzus

I think that sounds very good OC, tone is very good and smooth. Vibrato and bending is good, but with a couple of hours of focused practice it can be great sounding. ALso you played the whole piece cleanly and that is very important. Very good mate.
