After about 2 years of work I have finished my most recent project, so here it is.
Specs are fairly close to a sandard sg, as far as size.
Pickups- Seymour Duncan ds-1 in the bridge and 59' in the neck
rosewood fingerboard
the body is a bit more complicated, the "wings" are maple, the very center strip a piece of birdseye maple taken from the same tree as the outer portions. The "stripes" are composed of rosewood, ash, and koa, form inside out. the pick guard is just clear plastic, cut to shape.
Tune-o-matic bridge and silver hardware.
plays beautifully, and if i get some time a proper recording equipment, ill post some samples later.
Love to hear feedback, so let me know what you think! biggrin.gif Attached ImageAttached Image

Very nice. I probably would have gone without the pickguard though, maybe a colored one but that wood needs to be seen smile.gif

Looks very nice man, and I am not a fan of the SG. I agree with JVM on the pick guard. Looks solid for sure, bet it has some grunt too. smile.gif Curious as to what it weighs?

You should be very proud. It's fine craftmansship. How many working hours have you put into it?

How does the headstock look?

It looks great, well done for the job smile.gif

I would also go without the pickguard, but it is a personal preference and it depends a lot on style of playing smile.gif

Great looking guitar smile.gif You should be proud of the result. Did you make the neck too? What was the most difficult part?

I particularly like the birds eye maple strip something I aspire to on my next guitar if I ever get the funds!

Is this a hobby of yours or are you looking at being a lutherian?

The pics are so blurry. Can you take some high res ones? This guitar deserves it, 2 years of work - it needs some attention!
