Sounds really good as it is, however, I think I can make it better. It's set up is not quite to my liking atm, so a little more tweaking and I'll upload something with it. smile.gif

I've been thinking of getting one myself, as I've heard some very good things about Agile smile.gif
And if I'm not satisfied, I've spent so little money it's not a big deal smile.gif

Exactly Paal! Tbh, I really did not expect this quality. I figured a decent guitar at best that I could use for some drop tuned stuff but I am just blown away by the craftsmanship. The guy that installed the 498t in this one did a crappy solder job so I think I'm going to re-wire it. Other than that, I am thrilled! smile.gif

i have experience with these and yes they are great for their price!

i believe they are better in quality than the epiphones, and not only that, but the customer service from kurt (owner of ronodmusic) is excellent.

added plus: they come in so many colors and styles so you def could have a unique looking axe!

the douglas guitars on the site are very unique as well. they are rebranded from the korean guitar company: Shine who used to make parts for gibson and bc rich in the early 90's. as far as i know, thats the only place in the US to get them. they are also great for the price, but with these, they are a swing or a miss...some have perfect frets and are in great condition quality wise, others just make you question the quality control process over there..

the SX guitars are great entry level, i believe they are also rebranded from some company, but for $150 and under, you cant go wrong with these.

the agiles have no issues though because those are rondo made guitars, the others are out of kurts control.

hope that helps anyone thinking of getting one!

Darn, I see a third guitar in my future. I must be the only truck driver in US driving around with 2 electric guitars in his truck. I will have to leave one at home if I get another!

Edit: OMG! the AL-3000 Natural Spalted Maple!! Or the Gold Top with P-90's. hmmmmm.

Wow. The price is so much difference. You can buy 10 copys of this compared to a real les paul. The price difference is 10 times but I dont think the sound difference would be that much.

Ok guys, told you I would upload something with this guitar. Started out clean and then got a little dirty. Still haven't quite found the presets I like yet with it. I'm used to actives so I'll get it sounding better.. smile.gif

Just an idea off of some old stuff I came up with.

The sound is very decent. What kind of effect did you add on the clean at the beginning?

Thanks SensE, I used minimal delay, chorus, and a small amount of reverb. Then pulled it down a bit with the gate keeping the decay to 0%. Added a bit more reverb to the master in my DAW.

Still got to get use to the guitar as it has 10's on it and the thing is a beast to handle. My Jacksons average about 5 lbs.. laugh.gif

I think it sounds great, very nice cleans, and dirty sounds fine, even though you're not satisfied with your settings. Sounds like it's got a ton of sustain with all that weight. I can't wait to get one... maybe Santa Claus.... smile.gif

Here's a vid I did for Ivan's Blues Collab using this guitar with settings that I'm now happy with. smile.gif Timing is a little off as it was a complete improv but you'll get the idea of how it sounds.. smile.gif
