Don't know how you got one that cheap lol. It's a great effects unit for sure. I'm not a fan of multi effects but for most people it's ideal. Great Bargain mate smile.gif

Reading this topic brings a question to my mind. Is it better to own one of these things or have a pedalboard?

$150 for a Pod X3 Live is a steal. I paid around $400 for mine (new) and I thought I was doing pretty good.

Pedals offer much better sound than POD Live, specially for live shows. THey are a lot more expensive than POD as well. POD is more suitable for quick home practice/recording.

Pedalboard consisting of good quality stomp boxes will definitly offer you a higher quality sound than those multieffects! But those units can be very good at home practicing and demo recording!

If the device includes wah effect, find or setup the wah patch and than step on that expression pedal smile.gif

I agree with Ivan, that pedals have much better overall sound. However, finding the right combination for what you play can be expensive and frustrating. Multi effects, are pretty slick in that regard so it really comes down to price and personal preference. Check out my post on the Introduce yourself forum. I've got a list of my equipment. If you have a question about a certain pedal etc.

Lots of cool things here dude! I have it myself! U can program the pedal u have to be several things:

Volume
Wah
Tweak (lets u decide wether u want more bass or drive or reverb or mid etc)
Wah/Volume (a comination)

U can switch between 4 channels, BUT u can also use 8 channels if u use the tone 2 thingy. So on one channel u can have:

Tone 1
Tone 2
Tone1/Tone2 (combination)

U can record vocals as well as bass on the pod. Thats awesome!
the only thing missing is drums and a DAW.
U got u a pretty awesome little studio there u know...
Download REAPER or any free DAW, get a drum VST (u can also put GuiatarPro tabs into for example Fruity loops and mix drums to sound more real and get a mp3 file), and u got yourself a homestudio. Ofc u need mic, but for bass u can download octave effects that makes the guitar sound like a bass.

As said, you can download tones from the internet.

www.line6.com/customtone

Just search for whatever u want and u will get a sound that sounds exactly (or very similar) tone to what u searched.

U can also choose between different models of for example wah, chorus, reverb, delay etc.
Like i think u can program the pedal to be 10 different wahs or something!!! and so on for the rest of the effects!!

It has a GREAT inbuilt tuner too smile.gif

So much more u can do too, but check

www.line6.com

for more info! biggrin.gif

Great dude biggrin.gif were Pod x3 Live Friends tongue.gif
