But doesn't come with a midi library. So you need midi drum files. Anyway the engine sounds really great for freeware. I use it besides EZdrummer and the thing that came with Sonar7 producer because you can make awesome samples yourself. The algorythm used here allows great sound with only up to 3 sample layers. So it's easy to handle for non pro sample producers. I started to sample the percussions of a friend of mine. Lot of fun

no you use it directly as VST in your DAW as you would use EZplayer. But you have to setup a midi track where you put a midi drum loop in. Then you have the output of this midi track set in a way that it triggers the audio track where superdrum is inserted.

It's not comfortable. There is no way you can browse midi files and chose a certain loop. I just use it because I can make my own sample library. Means record actual drums and then layer for example 3 recordings from a snare shot to one sample that I assign to the snare in the program. Just a nice toy

Here is a short sound demo I made. I didn't play around with the fx section of the programm. This is just straight out of the box

BTW the program is made for real e-drums. You have tons of possibilities concerning attack, decay and whatever dynamic parameters you need for real drumming. I used my cheap simmons drum kit with it and the playing feeling is just incredible. You can do everything from rim shots to brush. just great.
