in the first video of Am intermediate solo the guy makes a really cool noise after the first bend. its kinda high pitched. how do u do that? and also at the bottom of the lesson it says touch on the 14th fret to make a harmonic. what is a harmonic?

Harmonic is a note that occurs when you lightly touch the string, pluck it and remove the fretting hand. The string will vibrate in a certain way and produce a note that is higher pitched. This all occurs because of the physics of the string when vibrating, and as I'm not expert, I can't tell you much about that. You have it on Wiki btw.
