I just used my headphones (don't know anything about them as they're my dads, and he use it in the garage for something)

and i just wonder, are headphones supposed to make it nearly impossible to hear ringing strings? of course i can hear when i pick on an open string, but i mean the strings that isn't supposed to ring. couse it is nearlly impossible to hear them.

Guitars: Schecter Hellraiser C-7, Epiphone SG, Some old fake Strat, and an acoustic of unknown brand.

headphones simply act as speakers.. what you hear is the sound being produced.. i don't know what else to say about that

If you don't wanna hear the strings picking, and only the sound from the headphones, then you should get external noise canceling headphones or in ear phones that cancel noise
