As always with Gibson it's more than I can afford probably but still cool.

It has the Robot tuners. P90h, burstbucker and a piezo bridge. Nitro finish, chambered mahogany. and a lot of electronics I'm not sure I understand. Looks good, but would like to see more and would be interesting to try out probably. Kind of Gibson's take after the Moog guitar and the Line 6's Variax guitars maybe?

Interesting, Gibson is making lots of innovations lately, like the robot and adding floyd rose to a LP model, now this. It's a bit too experimental yet, but I guess it will lead to something good, if it isn't already, who knows!

Yeah, I believe this is the second generation robot guitar for Gibson. So maybe they have already worked out the kinks and improved it. I think I like this rig better :

http://www.transperformance.com/

Plus you can have it added to your existing guitar, instead of buying a whole new guitar. Granted, it may cost you the same as buying a new guitar tongue.gif I know the Tea Party uses it. Since most of their songs are in different tunings, it just makes good sense.

These innovations by Gibson are really interesting. And I'm interested too whether such guitars will ever get popular or just remain a collector's guitar. Both have great chances.

I simply can't afford any of these guitars in the close future dry.gif

I've seen an MSRP of 3600.00 USD. It's a great looking guitar, but I think I will stick to the les paul's that don't have a battery addiction.
