Hello everyone, i just wanted to announce that my wife just gave birth to our first child!
It's a boy! His name is Gavin James Baker, and he was born 8lbs 9oz around 7pm! 11/11/08.
My wife was in labor for 21 hours. since i had so much time i brought my guitar, the pandora px4d, and some headphones and got some good practice hours in(between contractions and such-dont worry, i didnt neglect my wife). that made me think of you guys, so i thought i'd post the announcement! i just came home from the hospital to grab some clothes, so ive got to get back! I have to start teaching him Muris' alternate picking exercize pretty soon!!

Man that's great!!!!!

Congrats to you both smile.gif

That's a nice size boy and I hope your wife is doing well.

Being a Dad is so cool and I'm sure you will do a wonderful job.

Get some rest. Your going to need it biggrin.gif laugh.gif

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Congratulations biggrin.gif

If I had brought a guitar when we had our kids I wouldn't be here today. tongue.gif But good thing you did since you'll never get a chance to play again, ever, and if you find a window you'll be too tired anyway or you'll have your kid either want to sin in your lap wher he see you got a guitar there instead of him or he'll be tearing the strings. Just kidding, mostly, that's how my life went but that doesn't meen is has to happen to you. mellow.gif

Enjoy! biggrin.gif
