Hi guys biggrin.gif

I just wonder, as i use 0.09 string set, and play in drop c, the pitch from the first strike is going like... lets say if i play:

--7--

It sounds like
--7pbr--

So, what strings are the most recomended for drop c tuning?

Then i guess ill try 0.12 smile.gif
But should the "E" string maybe be from a 0.13? Like if i tune it down it will sound more sloppy if not?

Perhaps some hybrid set, 12-52 or something will be good. It is best to experiment a bit until you find the right gauge.

Your tuning is C A D G B E right?
If so, then C should be 13. I think this is a very weird tuning though.

Drop c is CGCFAD, from low to high, im using it now, try 11s or 12s.
And BFMV dont so much "use drop c" as bang on thier guitars and whine like emos.
If your using a floyd, id recommend even thicker 13s, helps keep tension.

Whine like emos biggrin.gif:D:D:D hahahaha

Anyway, what do you mean thicker strings helps with the tension? the springs are there for that.

In my floyd, I have to use Slightly thicker strings, or my bridge tension is all messed up, at least in that tuning.

You got two springs and two screws. Balance them.

There is nothing that can go wrong with the screws and springs mate. I think you will have to add one more spring in worst case if the tension becomes too big, but other than that you can tweak it no problems.

Short input, I've told people that too, but they still managed to break it.

I tried some Ernie Ball light top heavy bottom hybrids on my Schecter for Drop C and they worked great. They are in the orange package. they are 10-52's I believe. These have worked great for me so far.
