Very interesting topic Roko , thanks for sharing. I would call it visualization instead of meditadion , and it is a very useful skill not only for guitar but for a lot of things. Golf players use this technique a lot.

I try to visualize notes and patterns in advance all the time. Through constant doing this, it becomes a well crafted skill, so you can pull out combinations fast. But I can't visualize fast enough all the time. It's more of a putting into action somekind of a "concept" of the solo. Of course when you learn more and more licks, the number of combinations increases exponentially so it is easier to put into action the thoughts. By removing thinking about where are the notes, brain is free to think what is going to play in advance.
