Better for me but still not totally smooth. Darn, I was really hoping. Oh, well as long as the small player link is available for new lessons so I can partake in them I'm satisfied.

hehe yes it's amazing the amount of stuff that can slow down a perfectly good pc (call me paranoid but I can't stop thinking that it's MS Window's fault dry.gif )

Perhaps those of you who are good with computers can recommend some registry cleaners (etc) for people who have lots of system stuff that slow down their cpu?

Hi there - I am sure you are sick of hearing about the new player by now - but we have now done an update which should solve some problems!

Since we understood that there was some kind of over-cpu usage in the new player (meaning it required too much "energy" from your computer) - we have been going through the actionscript/flash code of the player.

Starting from now - the new player uses a lot less of your system resources. This should mean that if you earlier got a bad sound from the new player - it should now hopefully work better for you.

Why don't you check out this widescreen lesson and see if there is any difference!

Hi
widescreen lesson is great, but all other videos are small size.
I there something I have to do or change to get widescreen?
My laptop is running XP with service pack 3, my CPU is 1.73GHz with 896MB RAM and an 80GB hard drive.

We only have a few widescreen lessons yet - but pretty soon all new lessons will feature the new player (and many of them will be in widescreen). Let me know if I understood your question right! smile.gif

Hey Kris, I do appreciate the work you've done on the player, it has made the player over twice as fast for me and has helped a lot, but the widescreen lessons are still basically unuseable for me, because they take a long time to load. Is there anything I could do that doesn't involve getting a faster internet/computer?

Cheers

I hope we can get a "low bandiwth" option decently soon -which should solve this problem.
