Just saying hi really, 28 year old guy in the indie capital, Camden Town.

Started playing too long ago but didnt really learn how to play, just copied other guitarists via tab without making any connections between them/technique, so what I can play, I can play well but for every song I learn I forget two. Want to learn how to play not copy!

Really like early Johnny Marr in The Smiths, Slash, Roxy Music's first album at the moment

In one night I can now play up and down the fretboard!!

The comment about magic is really apt. Cheers biggrin.gif

Well I dont think you are alone in the "play by memorizing others work" area. I like to listen to stuff people post, and I sometimes can tell they have memorized a tab, and perhaps could not solo at all on thier own. Here you can learn techniques to let you just go with the flow, and improvise on the fly.
