Hi there!

I'm proud to announce that our beloved Wiki is getting bigger, better and smarter laugh.gif, and now deserves its very own place in the Main Page menu, so in case you guys hadn't check it out yet, now you have no excuse! biggrin.gif

And what's more, this is just the first step of some mind-blowing wiki related features that will see the light soon.

Why is this important?, Well we hope this will catch even more attention to the content we have, and we also hope this will motivate new members to step in and share all their knowledge & ideas through this wonderful means of communication. The wiki is becoming an important part of GMC, and guess what: it's for you guys to control, develop and rejoice. Take advantage of it!

The Wiki mainpage is regularly updated featuring tons of new articles, converted forum Gear & Albums reviews, featured images and even a Community section so that you don't miss any of the latest GMC happennings.

So, Wiki:writers & members in general: make yourself noticed! don't miss this chance to make your best articles for everyone to see!.

And stay tuned, because I've got some projects boiling in my mind and I'll share them with you guys very soon. And in the meantime: read our articles, share your own, write your gear/band/album reviews, and just use the wiki in any crazy way you see fit to make GMC the ultimate resource of guitar knowledge. Over 6000 users must have LOADS of stuff to share, do it and earn yourself the Wiki:writer rank in the meantime smile.gif

That's all folks, enjoy wink.gif

(And don't hesitate to PM me if you have any doubts regarding the Wiki, it's really easy to use!)

You could write review articles about your gear, your favourite bands, albums, or choose some of the suggested & needed wiki entries, etc! smile.gif

I was reading through the Wiki, some of the content is very good. I do believe some more editing needs to go into the articles before they're posted however...

Thanks Fatb0t wink.gif

As in every wiki article quality depends on the original author at first. Good thing about the wiki is that anyone can fix any typos or change wrong things or add extra info as needed, that's the spirit of it! (And I know that many GMC:ers do fix small typos, etc when reading the wiki, thx guys!)

There's just one kind of articles that shouldn't be changed, and those are the personal reviews, they all are titled like this "Blablablabla blabla Review", and feature the Original Author at the very beginning so they are easy to spot. Even in these fixing typos should be fine, in my opinion. (As fixing a typo doesn't change the spirit of the original review).

As for the regular articles, the idea is to make them better, if each of us finds a line to add or improve, all counts. That's why I'm always repeting that "A short/simple entry is better than no entry!", it leads the way to a better article in the end.
