I bought a mixer and some odds and ends. The box they sent it to me had no filler and everything was banging into each other. I even emailed them and said I would never buyu from them again.

I goto sweetwater or zzounds for anything anymore.

Never had a problem with them. :-)
Their return policy is cool too, I had to return some cables that I didn't need, no questions asked. I like them a lot!

I have ordered only from Sweetwater for now, and can confirm that they are a good service. They have a great customer support.

Buying a guitar that you haven't tried out is always potentially risky, especially through the mail. But, the return policy is key here. If you are not satisfied and can return it with no hassles, it's worth a try. If you can buy the guitar for a similar price locally, I'd go for that instead. Musicians' Friend tries very hard to do things right. They'd be out of business otherwise. smile.gif

MF are ok, never any real probs for me after many orders. ZZounds were better - next day delivery for me on the east coast of USA. But, Sweetwater are outstanding - you can call the same guy every time you order, and even if you order on line he will call you back to say he has your order. Its all the conmvenioence of an internet supplier with none of the drawbacks of facelesness and service - only downside is that you cant try stuff out. But they will happily spend considerable time on the ohne with you to give you advice about what to buy, they really make an effort. I use them for all the competition prizes - call up my guy and have him ship them to wherever in the world he makes up the order sends me invoices I don;t have to do a thing!

Only ever bought one bass from them and it had a good chunk taken out of the body. They were fine about the return though. I've had better experiences with Samedaymusic though. Samedaymusic will do free one day shipping over $100 though!

theres always a "risk" when buying guitars or any products online that it might get damaged during shipping..if your giutar ships in a case, though, there will be no problem...MF is a good retailer, i like them.

I've never used Musiciansfriend myself, since it's faster and cheaper for me to buy from Thomann or Norwegian sites because of shipping costs... But I've heard nothing but good things from friends who has ordered from there. I don't think you could go wrong wink.gif
