Hi folks smile.gif I'm back with yet another project on progress.
This time i've done my usual songwriting procedure differently and made the whole layout without any guitartracks to work with and instead relied only on synths and programming.

I did this because i'm currently lacking a few strings on all my guitars biggrin.gif
There will offcourse be tons of guitars on it eventually though.

This song is intended to work as a sort of intro of an album.

Attached File  Intro.mp3 ( 3.72MB ) Number of downloads: 245

--------------------
Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio

Amp: Marshall JMP-1 -> Rocktron Velocity 100 -> Marshall JCM-900 Lead 4x12

FX and stomps: T.C Electronics G-Sharp, Korg SDD-1200, Emma Transmorgrifier, BYOC Tribooster, GGG Green Ringer, Dinosaur Overdrive, Voodoo Lab SuperFuzz, Sovtek Bassballs, Line6 Tap Tremolo, EHX Screaming Bird.

Trond you`re awesome! You already prepared part for new song, so fast! ohmy.gif I feel that this will be something outstanding, maybe the best your song so far ! I like atmospherical organ (or whatever that is biggrin.gif) sounds from 1:01 and ending of intro, there sure will be some powerful riffing smile.gif IMHO, electronic sounds from synth gives kinda cosmic feel, which stacks a bit strange with that organ sound, melody is cool but maybe you should check how this melody will sound with something more like realistic sounds (flute/harp/piano..) Maybe this can give some ideas Nightwish-Come Cover Me Well i don`t know your idea, so i can be wrong. Why all your guitars lacking strings?! ohmy.gif

And i love how you make drums, going to learn from you in near future laugh.gif

Thanks biggrin.gif
Yes, you might be right about the choice of sounds. I've got alot of experience with drum-programming, but not strings, organs and similar. So i'm still in a learning process in that field smile.gif
Will definetly try out some other sounds.

And i'm stringless because i thought i made a smart choice by putting new Elixir strings on my guitars. For some reason they didnt last a week ohmy.gif For some reason, the only strings that i've had good luck with is Blue Steels. They last for months.

@Trond that sound really great! There is lots of room to add some guitar work.

Can't wait to hear the next recording smile.gif

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato
