aw man, is this still open at all? I'm guessing its not since I saw the groups were up and a syllabus posted, but I figured there would be no harm in asking.
I am pretty much a real beginner at guitar, learned a couple things over the past year, but not much at all. I've definitely been looking for an opportunity like this.
If not, maybe next time around..

peace

Hi, I'm new to the forum it took me a few days to get a camera and setup everything to record. Here is a sample of my playing as of right now...

As for what I'm working on and could use help in... I'd like to improve on my melodic playing, timing, and also I want to learn how to record complete covers so I can build my repertoire, I have the software but I need some guidance in programming the drums etc. Focusing more on the actual guitar playing again, I would like to improve my technique and understand more about chord progressions so I can make more interesting backing tracks...

Cheers!

Well I will take you as one of my mentorees (students). Things where a little out of tune and you hit some wrong notes also, but I like you passion. We can fix the other things.

Send Smells and Andrew a PM and see what they think about me helping you. That is if you would like me to. smile.gif

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

PM Smells and ask if it is OK. Then go to my board and make a thread for yourself and introduce yourself. Go to the main thread on my board and see what's been going on and let me know if you have any questions. smile.gif smile.gif
