Okay so im gonna order my amp tomorrow! Was wondering whats the point of having two different speakers in a 212 cabinet, for example i'm gonna get either two vintage 30s or two greenbacks (celestion) why do some people do like one greenback and one vintage 30? Thanks guys

Different speakers sound different - more or less punchy, more or less highend etc. People like to mix and match.

This is just a guess, I'm not very knowledgeable about speakers, but it might be to get the best of both worlds - for example, if you love the clarity and high end of one speaker, but it lacks the low end quality of another, you might get one of each to fill in the weak spots. wink.gif Could be wrong, though, don't take my word for it.

One Heritage and one Vintage30 is a classic combination. The mixed frequencies is supposed to make a full sound. I've had my eyes on a Marshall 2x12 cab like that for some while. Need to ditch my 4x12 first but someday...

Ah so it's to mix together. I suppose it would make it more versatile when miking it also. Got to ponder that. Thanks guys

I wonder if it's also to give the amp more of a 'stereo' type of sound that you'd get from plugging into two different amps?

No I don't think the sound would be "stereo" in any way, but the whole cab would produce a bit better sound cause different speakers cover different sound spectrum ranges.
