After some dabbling with synths and attempting a "lighter" side of music, i've figured out that i wasnt really that pleased with any of the ideas i got.. So i turned back to metal smile.gif

Here's a new one i started on recently, its currently just 2 minutes long, but i thought i would put it up anyways smile.gif
The first solo is just something random i recorded, i'll most likely change that.
I've got an idea for a melody on the slow part, but havent gotten around to recording it yet.

Mixing is also rough as the bassy frequencies can sound a bit dominating.
But afterall .. it's a demo smile.gif

Trond is heading back to his roots.....

Dig it man.

The delay effect on the riff during the drumless part was neat. I havent heard anything like that before. Nice!

Did it change keys at the 1:24 part for a second? Or is my ear fooling me? Could just have gone higher up the scale, but something sounded different...

Awesome man!!! Dream Theater camed to my mind for some reason!! tongue.gif

and than...Galneryus on the solo...

laugh.gif

Like the harmony very much smile.gif

Just don't like the part from 1:15 to 1:31 [Kinda reminds me of One from Metallica]...maybe it needs something more, but for me it breaks the harmony it was having...Don't know if it's the part hwere you said you had an idea for melody.

Overall, great job smile.gif

Thanks biggrin.gif
I came up with that delay effect sort of by accident smile.gif After i had recorded that track, it sounded really dull and boring so i tried various effects like phaser, flanger and whatnot. Last thing i tried was delay, and it sounded quite cool smile.gif

Yea, i change keys at that part. But.. that whole section is under serious doubt, it might work with the melody/harmonies i have in mind.. but if not, i'll replace it alltogether.

I agree, i'm not so sure about that part myself anymore. But it's the part i mentioned i had an idea.

Ah yes, now that matches your picture! smile.gif Loved it man, I thought I was the only one who liked some delay on rhythm guitars.. tongue.gif I would still like to hear you playing around with some synth stuff and just incorporate it into these types of ideas that you have. Nice man! smile.gif
