I wanted that to be awesome. But I could never get it to run right. Even on a NICE machine....

I should just re-install 2004....

My one works ok on an average Vista machine. I am flying on internet non-stop. 2004 is also good but doesn't have online playing.

Oh, I have to add those two for me as well. Don't know if I would be the same man today, without them!

What's creepy, is that I can totally hear the music in my head the way you wrote it laugh.gif

The Thief series!.

A really old game called Master of Magic.

The baldurs gate series, Icewind dale series, Neverwinter Nights games, the Fallout series and of course Planescape Torment.

I loved the game Stronghold, it took an old gem (Castle) and made it even better.

The gothic series.

The entire Civilization series!

Severance Blade of Darkness

and the Half-Life series is pure fun.

Also, the Freespace games are the best space combat sim games I have ever played.

GTAIII was probably my favourite game ever. I was young when it came out and therefore could play games for hours on end. And then the fact that it was the first GTA game to go 3D which was a massive step. The game was just incredible. I played Vice City and all the other games less because I was bored of just driving around killing people. All because of the amount of time I played GTAIII.

And Battlefield 2. Any game that I can log near 700 hours on must be pretty good.

For me the best game i have played to date has to be Mass Effect.

If you haven't tried it i suggest it, the story line is powerful and easy to negotiate, the quest routines are topnotch and the graphics kick butt.

Its the first RPG type game i have played in a long time that actually made me play it 3 times thru in a row non-stop. Wasted a month of my life doing it too lol.

I can't wait to see what they do with expansion add-ons, the first one is really excellent i can't wait for more from this series!

Daniel

Total Annihilation: The Core Contingency. But only with human opponents. Haven't played it since I went to Windows XP. Hmmm, I wonder what the new versions are like .....

wow no halo fans huh?

Elderscroll Series
Halo Series
Diablo Series..although i have the feeling that bilzzard is going to ruin D3 by nickel and diming us for online play
Perfect Dark on the N64
and dare i say it: Runescape....why do i say that? its getting updated every week with new stuff to do...you only pay $5 a month...and you can play it from anycomputer anywhere with out downloads....only problem is that it is infested with snobby little kids and snobby no life old peoples...i havent played it in years, but i used to play it with my friends back when it first came out and then for 3-4 years later

but each one of those games were revolutionary, and influenced other games to become great although some, maybe most are not on par with them even still...

First of all, EVERY gamer should play through the Zelda: Ocarina of Time on N64. It's simply stunning in every way. Goldeneye 64 is also a classic.

Then in no particular order:
-GTA-series
-Max Payne-series
-Company of Heroes
-Half-Life 1 & 2
-Grim Fandango (simply the greatest point-and-click adventure game ever)
-Halo-series (the first is still my favourite from the 3)
-Diablo 2
-Elder Scrolls Oblivion

Can't think of anything else right now biggrin.gif

I must admit that I'm old school.
I must have spent hundreds of dollars on Bust-a-Move 4 arcade machines.
