Well finally I got myself around to subscribe!
What took me so long? I had to buy an audio interface (Focusrite Saffire LE - hope you think it´s any good?!) so that I can practice without waking the whole family up and leave my crappy amp out of the game! tongue.gif

I´m 38 years old and I´m living with my wife and kid in Vienna/Austria.

I "play" guitar occaisonally since I´m 8 years old, but with big gaps in between.

Since 4 months I check out GMC daily to look at new lessons and browse the lessons library - I´m very impressed about the quality of the site, the lessons and the instructors themselves.

My goal: Brushing up my old "skills" and learn the remaining 99%! biggrin.gif

Really looking forward to all those great lessons!

Servus
Berglmir

PS. I guess it´s some copyright issue that it is not possible to download any back-tracks?!
PPS. My avatar is a photo of my guitar I have since the early 80ies - a Washburn Falcon

Welcome to GMC! It's great to have you here. This is the right place to brush up the old stuff and anything that's left cool.gif

Great guitar btw!

About the copyright issues, yes, the backings are copyrighted but I'm sure that if you PM an instructor asking for the backing track you need - that will definitely solve the problem!

cheers! smile.gif

Welcome to GMC Berglmir. smile.gif You made the right choice wink.gif

--------------------
"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato
