I have a matched set of Jason Lollar's Imperial Humbuckers in my Gibson LP. They are great, a real airy sound, and really come alive once I crank the gain up. But they're expensive, $150 a pickup.

I bought a set of these guitarhead neo vintage humbuckers in white for a white epi 335 that I bought on ebay (wanted to make sure I liked the hollowbody before I spent alot of money on one)
and then put all new electronics and had the frets filed, crowned and polished and then intonated. man does this epiphone scream. no need to buy anything else. this is a keeper now that I stuffed the f holes with cotton to help with the feedback from the high output pickups plus you can hear them before you buy them http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZguitarheadsQQhtZ-1 great pickups dirt cheap when I asked them why they are so cheap. they told me I could go buy a duncan so I can pay for the name or buy a pickup that is built just as well for a 1/4 of the price Hmm, All I know is that these pickups scream in my guitar This post has been edited by dogman: Dec 31 2006, 03:45 PM |
