Very useful man, thanks! You're welcome mate! Enjoy it hehe it took me a while to make that chart. Wow! Now that's comprehensive. Thanks ![]() Gonna have to check out your lessons. Well, I've tried to comprehend all the seven note scales. Sure, when you check my lessons know that each lesson cover 7 scales (one for each), it's like the modes in the major scale. -------------------- |

Hi Ramiro
Searching for some scale definitions/formulas, i found this link: http://www.harmonics.com/scales/index.html The table can be downloaded as Excel file, which is quite handy for sorting. Thought it would be interesting for you or everyone else interested in this topic. -------------------- |

thats really cool Ramiro....thank you. one question, i dont really understamd how to use it, can u clarify it for me Well, the chart is divided into scales with major third, with minor third, with both thirds and with no thirds. Since that interval is the most important to know if a scale is major or minor. Then I took care of other intervals like the fifth so in that way you can know very quickly if the scale is minor, dim, major or aug. And I've tried to make the intermediate steps very close to each other too. The other thing on the chart are the colours. I've used different colours for each scale that's used on the Exotic Scale series, so you'll see that are many scales on (for example) light magenta, that represents that the scales that have that colour are modes of one scale. Let me know if this clarifies you or I have to explain a little more. -------------------- |
