So I am about to upgrade my guitar (finally). I am getting rid of my squire and getting this beauty New Ibanez. I am also getting a digitech distortion factory pedal. My question is will hear a big difference in the tone in my guitar. I mean cmon anything is better than a squire right?

Honestly, probably not, you might hear a small difference, but nothing major. The main difference between guitars usually is playability, tone isn't as big a difference as playability. Tone comes mainly from the player, for example, Jimmy Page could play Paul Gilbert's guitar, and he'd still sound the same.

I am going to disagree here - I believe you will here a pretty big difference between a squire and an Ibanez with humbuckers... Now if you want it to sound good - then that's going to come from your fingers just like Dime said! smile.gif

Oh yea, that's right tongue.gif . But you may want to change the pickups of the Ibanez, the Ibanez(es?) I've played didn't have the best pickups, even though they are made with Dimarzio, they aren't as high quality...may I suggest Dimarzio Super Distortions? biggrin.gif

The pickups are DESIGNED by emg so i probably should change them. Probably some dimarzio Evo's, but where would I go to get them installed?

Yeah, when they say designed, they are more cheaply made than real EMG, SD, Dimarzio etc...
You can install them yourself if you know how to solder. But you can ask any guitar store if they can do it.

I bet with a good setup and some seymour duncans that squire will scream for alot less than buying a new guitar. now you can save up for that marshall plexi 1/2 stack wink.gif
