UPS and their 3' drop rule......

I shipped a home theater subwoofer one time and had "issues".

You'll likely be out the money while the seller makes a claim to UPS. Then after they settle with him, if it was packed well, he'll reimburse you.

Unless you were offerred insurance and didnt get it.

Then you are sooo screwed.

It has insurance on it, but it was packed like crap...Ive already written the seller an email telling him what happened.. and i called ups right after i opened the package to file a claim with them... This way they have the time the claim was filed with the delivery time and know it was close.

If the seller tries to backout and not give me my money out then ill file another claim with paypal and give him a negative remark which would be his first negative remark..

Still a bunch of bs to deal with on my 40th

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Congratulations on you amp smile.gif

I think you should read the rest of the thread sad.gif

You'll have to let us know how it goes. It'll be interesting for future reference to see how long it takes for you to get money back.

When I had toneport delivered the parcel company left the package in an alley not even near my house and didn't have anybody sign for it. Fortunately the parcel company was to blame obviously and the company sent me another out straight away after spending just 1 minute on the phone to the parcel company as they had a new worker who didn't realise you couldn't just leave a parcel in an alley with no signature laugh.gif

Damn it sucks when that happens, you never know what those UPS guys do with your packages.

Well, I hope you get it all sorted out, and you get your new amp! smile.gif

the box wasnt really damaged... it could have been sent like it is, but i doubt it.. looks like it was slammed down on its side and cracked the whole top side of it... It i try to pick it up by the handle the whole top comes up and almost off...
I have a claim in with ups at the moment but havent heard from them yet

Man I hope things get solved. The risk is that UPS will say they never dropped it if the box has no visible damages.
Any visible damages on the amp, and now I mean a spot/dent/scratch where you can clearly see it's been hit.

If the amp has a dent while the box hasn't it must have been hit outside of the box. If the box and the amp have damages in the same places it was dropped while being in the box.

I think the sellers Feedback will hint about his character.

I tell you, this bothers me too, you're out with a lot of money.

the sellers feedback is 100% and they are a music studio thats been on ebay since 2006..

They have been shipping alot more expensive stuff out than this...

I wont buy from someone who doesnt have 100% feedback and at least 100 sales

Yeah, that's UPS then for sure.

Just a suggestion, ask them to write a testemony of the state of the amp when they shipped it. Stick it under UPS noses if they make a fuzz about it. Can't hurt.
